Manuscript Editing
Book Editing Services
Get clear, honest editorial feedback on your manuscript, from big-picture structure to sentence-level polish. You see every suggested change and decide what stays.
Not every manuscript needs the same kind of edit. A first draft may need developmental feedback on plot, pacing, argument or structure. A revised draft may be ready for a line edit that tightens prose and voice, or a copyedit that corrects grammar, usage and consistency.
We read a sample of your manuscript first and recommend the level of editing that fits, so you pay for the work your book actually needs. All edits are delivered as tracked changes with comments explaining the reasoning behind larger suggestions.
If you are unsure, send a sample. We will tell you honestly whether the draft would benefit most from structural feedback, line editing or a copyedit.
The aim is to make your writing clearer, not to replace your voice. Suggestions are tracked so you can keep anything you prefer as written.
Proofreading is a separate final check on a nearly finished file. It can be added to your quote if you would like both.
Tell us about your book and where you are in the writing process. We will suggest the right kind of edit and provide a clear written quote.
