Final Manuscript Check
Proofreading Services
Catch the typos, missed words and small inconsistencies that slip past even careful writers before your book goes to print or ebook.
Proofreading is the last quality check on a manuscript that has already been written, revised and edited. A proofreader looks for spelling mistakes, repeated or missing words, punctuation slips, inconsistent capitalization and hyphenation, and small factual mismatches such as a character name or date that changes partway through.
We can proofread your Word manuscript before layout, or check a formatted PDF proof for problems such as widows, orphans, wrong running heads and incorrect page numbers in the table of contents.
No. Proofreading corrects surface errors. It does not rewrite sentences or restructure chapters. If your draft needs more, we will tell you before you order.
Yes. For formatted books we mark corrections directly on the PDF so your designer can apply them.
We follow US English by default and can work in UK English or to a specific style guide on request.
Send your manuscript details and we will reply with a quote and turnaround time for a full proofread.
